Promise me, autumn in Kanas is worth rushing for

This autumn, I finally fulfilled my dream of going to Kanas in northern Xinjiang, and unexpectedly, the first snow ❄️ arrived in October! The fairy tale world covered in ice and snow is simply breathtakingly beautiful. The water of Kanas Lake is bluer than the sky, healing everyone's heart~ In the face of nature, humans are so small. The first snow of 2025, in Xinjiang, in Kanas, is stunningly beautiful [Cute]. It truly is the Altay in my heart.

🏔️【Must-visit spots in Kanas】
📍Kanas Lake
Address: Northern Burqin County, Altay Prefecture
Recommended activity: Take a boat to experience the blue water up close. It’s best to go in the morning when the mist is swirling for photos; every shot looks like a fairyland masterpiece.

📍Moon Bay
Address: Inside Kanas Scenic Area
This S-shaped river bend is especially dreamy after snow. Don’t miss the aerial view from the observation deck.

📍Fairy Bay

When the morning fog is thick, it really looks like a place where fairies live! It’s recommended to visit in the morning to see the fog, and remember to dress warmly~

📍Wolong Bay
Formed by long-term lateral erosion and scouring of the Kanas River, this series of winding river bends contains two small sandbanks that look like huge footprints, resembling a coiled dragon playing in the water.

📝Useful tips:
1. It starts snowing in October, so be sure to bring a down jacket and non-slip boots.
2. There are limited accommodation options in the scenic area; it’s recommended to book a cabin in advance.
3. The best time for photography is between 9-11 AM when the light is especially soft.
4. Prepare some snacks as dining options inside the scenic area are limited.

🚗Transportation guide:
It’s recommended to fly from Urumqi to Altay, then rent a car to Kanas (about a 4-hour drive). The scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful, don’t miss it~
