[Fort San Pedro | Cebu Island, the "oldest fortress in the Philippines"]
— A legacy of the Spanish colonial period, this fort, built in 1565, was the base for the Spanish army to defend Cebu⚔️
Now it has a quiet park-like atmosphere, and is a place where you can relax a little away from the hustle and bustle of Cebu city🌿
⸻

✨【Points of interest】
・The triangular stone fortress is perfect for taking photos📷
・The inside is a small museum, and documents from the Spanish colonial period and everyday items from that time are on display🗺️
・If you climb up to the hill, you can see all the way to the harbor✨It's a great spot for a great view!
⸻
📸【Recommended photo spots】
・The arch at the entrance (the stone monument of "Fuerza de San Pedro")
・The courtyard lawn, palm trees, and stone walls create a nice contrast🌴
・The angle of climbing up to the top of the wall and looking down on the harbor is also popular♪
⸻
🎒【Tips】
・It's often hot, so a hat and water are essential💧
・You can tour the area in about 30 minutes to an hour. It's best to visit it together with the Santo Niño Church and Magellan's Cross.
- The benches and shade on the premises are perfect for taking a break.
- Local guides may call out to you. If you're OK with an explanation in English, ask for one. (Of course, it's OK to decline!)
