Changsha Citywalk

Citywalking in Changsha is so much more convenient than you think, with famous streets located all in the same cluster, making it easy to visit multiple hotspots within one day.

Start your day walking down the historic alleys of Taiping Old Street lined with preserved architecture and local specialty stalls. Then, head to Pozi Food Street and try the stinky tofu, spicy skewers or sugar-coated fried mochi balls!

Stop by at one of the multiple Cha Yan Yue Se stores to get a refreshing drink topped with a small snack. This chain sells not just a variety of milk teas, but also milk coffees, and even alcoholic drinks at its different subsidiaries.

Passing through Wuyi Square and Changsha IFS, you can head into the mall for some respite against the weather, and for some high-end shopping at international brands.

After squeezing through the throngs of people earlier on, retreat to Fengying Xili nearby, a beautifully restored cluster of alleys once residential, now filled with indie cafés, vintage shops, and creative studios. This is a popular haunt for the younger locals for artisan coffee, cakes and boutique finds. Located here also is Hammer Coffee, rated one of the best coffees in Changsha.

As night falls, head to bar CMYK near Chaozong Street for a creatively concocted cocktail at one of Asia's Top 50 bars.
