Changsha welcomes the autumn foliage season, with golden yellow, orange-red, and deep brown colors spreading across the city. Ginkgo is the purest gold of autumn, changing color in mid-November. The leaves turn from pale yellow to bright yellow, shining brilliantly under the sunlight, and when the wind blows, it looks like golden rain falling. Entering from the East Gate, ginkgo trees accompany you all the way. The ancient ginkgo trees at the Red Army Ferry have fallen leaves covering the ground, creating a strong atmospheric vibe. Inside the temple, century-old ginkgo trees complement the architecture, and there is even a 1,200-year-old ancient ginkgo tree, vibrant and striking. Red maple is one of the most popular autumn sights, with the best viewing period from mid-November to mid-December. Aiwan Pavilion on Yuelu Mountain is a representative spot for maple viewing, with the mountain colors turning red by late October. The "Red Maple Avenue" in front of the library and the area around East Lake are also great places to enjoy the maples. The maple trees on both sides of the trails change color depending on the light, making a stroll very pleasant. In late autumn turning to winter, dawn redwoods change from green to rusty red, with rows of trees reflecting on the water, creating a sense of order. The five-kilometer dawn redwood forest along the Sancha River, the large patches of dawn redwoods by the river, and the dawn redwoods lining the lakeside trails are all worth visiting. From mid-November to early December, the Chinese tallow tree in Changsha is very distinctive, with heart-shaped leaves turning from green to yellow and orange-red, finally becoming deep red, showing multiple colors on one tree. Come to Changsha and encounter a romantic autumn!
