| Found the perfect hotel for kids in Changshu. During the Dragon Boat Festival coinciding with Children's Day, we decided to surprise our little one by taking him to stay in a Hape Silk Road🐫 themed room in Changshu.

🚗 A 3-hour drive from Nanjing brought us to📍Shanghu Huajianfu Hotel. After check-in, a shuttle took us directly to our room.

Upon opening the door, we were greeted by a Hape cartoon train🚂, tent⛺, free-build train tracks, and a 🚙 car museum. Our kid was so excited he didn’t know where to start😂, literally jumping with joy.

The room’s warm and soothing color palette, paired with a lakeside view, was utterly refreshing. At night, the ambiance with the lights on was magical.

The hotel is located right by Shanghu Lake, facing a 5A scenic area. The scenery is stunning, and as a pet-friendly hotel, many guests brought their 🐶 along, which made our child thrilled.

🍽 We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The pet-friendly areas are separated from regular guest zones. The breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options, with special Dragon Boat Festival zongzi🍲! Don’t miss the local specialty, Tan Oil Noodles—so flavorful. For dinner, we ordered a set menu—generous portions and well-balanced flavors, perfect for kids too. Highlights included the Family Platter, braised beef, and mushroom chicken soup✨.

🧩 The hotel organizes daily "Huajian Little Days" activities, packed with fun. A dedicated host leads craft workshops, making for great family bonding! Just book in advance with the butler—they even call to remind you, so thoughtful.
