On January 5, 2025, I made a reservation for Chengde Museum, located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Puning Road and Huancheng North Road, Shuangqiao District, Chengde City, Hebei Province. It was completed in 2019, with a total construction area of 25,163 square meters, and is the first modern comprehensive museum built in Chengde City. In September 2022, on the basis of Chengde Museum, Chengde Summer Resort Museum, Archives, Information Center and other units were merged to form Chengde Summer Resort Museum.
The museum has five permanent exhibitions, namely the National Unity Exhibition, the General History of Chengde Exhibition, the Summer Resort Exhibition, the Buddhist Culture Exhibition and the Imperial Life Exhibition. Among the 688 cultural relics on display at Chengde Museum, there are 25 national first-class cultural relics, most of which are royal treasures and Buddhist treasures of the Qing Dynasty, and most of them were made by the Imperial Household Department and the Yangxin Hall of the Qing Palace, representing the highest level of craftsmanship in the Qing Dynasty. In addition to using a large number of precious cultural relics, the exhibition also uses modern technologies such as VR, AR and multimedia to enhance the audience's embodiment and interactivity.
Chengde Museum is truly a treasure trove of history and culture, and its treasures are breathtaking!
