🍀 1. Service:
As St. Regis' signature offering, the 24-hour butler service truly lives up to expectations. Three days before check-in, the butler proactively called to confirm our needs. Upon learning we were traveling with a child, they prepared kids' slippers, toiletries, and even folded a towel into a cute panda placed on the bed.
The discreet service closet by the room was a clever touch—dirty clothes placed inside were quietly taken away for cleaning and returned neatly folded the next day.
When food deliveries arrived, the concierge not only accepted them but also helped dispose of the packaging.
🍀 2. Room:
Our Deluxe King Room spanned a generous 65m², making it comfortably spacious for our family. The classic European-style decor, with crystal chandeliers and solid wood furniture, exuded timeless luxury. However, some fixtures showed their age: the bathtub felt outdated (reminiscent of older Sheraton designs), and the curtain controls occasionally jammed.
Modern tech features balanced the vintage vibe—automatic sensor toilet, smartphone-style charging remote, and electric curtains. The in-room amenities featured St. Regis' signature Remede Verbena line in bulk eco-friendly bottles (practical though less refined). The cityscape view was standard, but the central location shone: a 15-minute walk to Taikoo Li, direct access to Evergrande Plaza downstairs, and even Sichuan opera face-changing performances within easy reach.
🍀 3. Dining:
Our pre-booked package included a $50 credit, which we used at the seafood buffet for outstanding value. The freshly grilled steak was juicy perfection, lamb chops were tender without gaminess, and the mint-chocolate ice cream was refreshingly delicious.
The Chinese restaurant’s durian pastry was a must-try—realistically shaped with an oozing filling. Breakfast highlights included fiery dan dan noodles and flawlessly runny eggs Benedict. That said, the breakfast variety barely changed over our four-day stay, risking monotony for longer visits.
🍀 4. Facilities:
The heated pool’s pristine water kept our child splashing for hours. The well-equipped gym, nearly empty with panoramic night views, made workouts serene. At the spa, the Sichuan tea-inspired treatment was exceptional—the therapist’s skilled, gentle techniques were followed by a gift of herbal tea bags.
