📍Discovering Chengdu’s Hidden Muslim Quarter

Tucked just beside the bustling Tianfu Square, I stumbled upon a lesser-known but absolutely delightful part of Chengdu — the Muslim Quarter (回民街). The moment I entered, the scent of freshly grilled lamb skewers and warm naan greeted me.

🍢 I tried authentic halal street food like beef noodles, lamb skewers, and sweet Xinjiang-style pastries — everything was rich in flavour and so comforting. The area may be small, but it offers a taste of diversity that adds colour to the heart of the city.

🕌 There’s also a modest mosque and halal butcher shops tucked between the eateries. It’s not touristy, but that’s exactly what makes it feel so genuine and special. Definitely worth a stroll if you’re near Tianfu Square!

💡Tip: Come in the late afternoon for the best food atmosphere, and combine it with a visit to Chunxi Road, People’s Park, or Chengdu Museum nearby.

📍Nearest Metro: Tianfu Square Station, Exit C
📷 Bring your camera — the food and traditional storefronts are great for photos!
