This hotel in Chengdu, China, is the only one in the city to receive a 5-star rating from the Forbes Travel Guide Star Award in 2025.
Perfect for true relaxation enthusiasts, especially with the Club Lounge offering five complimentary meals a day! The meals include freshly prepared à la carte dishes and a diverse buffet selection. While some menu items may repeat on certain days, the overall quality is excellent. Most notably, alcoholic beverages are served from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM without time restrictions, unlike many other hotels.
For breakfast, guests can choose to dine at either the Club Lounge or the main restaurant—or even both. (All food photos shown are from the Club Lounge.)
Additional perks include complimentary limousine service for one round trip per night to nearby attractions within a 5-kilometer radius, free ironing service for two items per day, and Butler Service that allows guests to order tea or coffee delivered to their room at no extra charge throughout their stay.
The service is impeccable, exuding luxury and high standards from the moment you step out of your car. While some staff members may not be fluent in English, the overall experience is smooth and pleasant.
The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient to travel around. It’s just a 5-minute drive to IFS Mall, a landmark featuring the famous panda climbing the building. (In comparison to Bangkok, this area is akin to the Siam district.)
The rooms have a classic "Old Money" style. Although the hotel has been around for a while, renovations have kept it modern and fresh. The view from the rooms may not be particularly special due to the surrounding high-rise buildings, but the bathroom features a large TV for entertainment while soaking in the tub.
Facilities are top-notch, including a fitness center, spa, and a large indoor swimming pool. Don’t forget your swim cap, as Chinese regulations are quite strict about this.
For me, this hotel is the MVP of luxury accommodations at an affordable price, offering exceptional value and a must-try experience.
