Chotika Alms Offering at Wat Chedi Luang

Join the Chotika Alms Offering at Wat Chedi Luang Worawihan in Chiang Mai, a tradition that continues the Lanna culture. This event takes place every Saturday morning at 7:00 AM, where monks from various temples across Chiang Mai and resident monks at Wat Chedi Luang gather to receive alms. During the summer school break, many novice monks are ordained at Wat Chedi Luang. Offerings can include cooked food, dry food, beverages, and medicine. After the alms offering, visitors can pay respects to the standing, reclining, and sitting Buddha statues, which are believed to bring happiness and good health in all postures of life.
