Black House Museum - Thawan Duchanee

The Black House Museum, also known as Baandam Museum, is a unique tourist attraction in Chiang Rai province. It was founded and designed by Thawan Duchanee, a National Artist in Visual Arts (Painting) in 2001. The museum took over 25 years to create, showcasing art and architecture that reflect the artist's identity.

• Black wooden architecture: Spanning over 100 acres, the museum features 36 black wooden buildings, each with distinct designs and decorations inspired by Lanna, Lan Xang, and Suvarnabhumi art.
