Hidden Lab is one of Bangsaen's most unique and charming seaside cafes. Renovated from an old abandoned hotel on the way up to Khao Sam Muk, this cafe combines a chic vintage loft feel with a truly unique sea view.
The heart of Hidden Lab lies in its two distinctly distinct zones:
The new building (Hidden Lab): This zone serves drinks and bakery items, decorated in a minimalist modern style with a black and white theme, creating a cool, clean feel. The air-conditioned zone is also cool.
The old building (Follow The Drip): This converted old building exudes a classic vintage vibe. It offers many popular photo spots, such as the old windows or the rooftop terrace with panoramic sea views.
A highlight attracts visitors is the seaside corner, featuring an old swimming pool, a unique and stylish photo spot. There's also a private beach area at the bottom, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze. Visiting during golden hour (before sunset) is the most breathtaking time, as the sun sets beautifully over the sea from the vantage point of the old buildings, creating stunning and story-telling images.
The menu offers a wide variety of coffees, non-coffees, Italian sodas, cakes, and pastries. The minimum order is one drink/dessert per person, which is valid for admission to the old building and seaside area. However, the view and photo opportunities are guaranteed to be worth it.
⏰ Opening/Closing Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM (some sources state 8:00 PM)
Saturday - Sunday: 7:30 AM - 7:00 PM (some sources state 8:00 PM)
Recommendation: Check the latest opening/closing hours directly with the restaurant.
🚗 Parking: Parking is available in front of the restaurant, but on holidays, you may have to park on the road around Khao Sam Muk.
⭐️ Rating: 4.5/5 (The sea view is worth a million, especially the sunset. The restaurant's unique design, a renovated old building, and plenty of photo opportunities. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. A small deduction for the difficulty of getting there without a car.)
