Chongqing People's Liberation Monument 人民解放纪念碑

The Chongqing People's Liberation Monument is a representative landmark of Chongqing, located in the center of the Liberation Monument Pedestrian Street. It was originally built to commemorate the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, and later changed its name to its current name. It is a 27.5m-tall hexagonal clock tower. During the day, it blends in with the surrounding shops and naturally blends into the cityscape, and at night, the lights add to its presence, making it even more noticeable.
The area around the monument is a pedestrian street, so many people take pictures and spend time walking around it. Although the tower itself cannot be entered, its exterior alone is impressive enough, and it is a symbolic place for both Chongqing citizens and tourists.
