Just returned from Chongqing and I have to share this amazing family-friendly accommodation for the National Day holiday! I can’t wait to recommend this apartment hotel—we’re definitely staying here again next time. If you’re planning a trip to Chongqing with your kids during the holiday, take my advice: Lock in your booking at the Ascott Raffles City Chongqing—it’s absolutely amazing!
We stayed in the Ultraman-themed room. The moment we opened the door, our kid screamed with excitement and dashed inside. The room came with an official Ultraman doll and a cute little tent featuring a giant monster—our little one never wanted to leave! The space was filled with Ultraman-themed details, from the bedding and toiletries to an adorable Ultraman bathrobe. We even noticed that the drinking cups were Ultraman-themed—lol! The immersion was incredible, and the attention to detail was truly impressive. As a welcome gift, the apartment kindly gave us Chongqing hotpot base—so thoughtful!
✅ Hotel-style apartment with a kitchen, washing machine, and refrigerator. The best part? The in-room washer had a drying function, so no matter how many outfit changes the kids went through, laundry was hassle-free. A major plus!
✅ We stayed in a spacious one-bedroom suite—plenty of room for the little one to run around freely.
✅ The bathroom was spacious with ample storage. The toiletries were from APPELLES, and besides child-specific products, they even thoughtfully provided lip balm and body lotion—a pleasant surprise!
✅ The second floor has a children’s playroom, heated indoor pool, and gym. You can easily spend half a day having fun without even leaving the hotel!
The apartment is located right above the Raffles City mall, with Line 1 of the subway easily accessible. Eating, drinking, and entertainment—everything is within reach. There’s even a large dedicated kids’ play area in the mall. Walk out from the first floor of the mall, and you’ll reach Chaotianmen Square, where the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers meet. Taking a river cruise or strolling along the banks is super convenient.
Honestly, this place is practically the center of the universe—lol! Everything is within easy reach:
· Yangtze River Cable Car — 1.6km away. Try riding at sunset for a magical experience.
· Hongyadong — A 10+ minute stroll along the river. After the lights turn on at 7 PM, you can take Ghibli-style photos with your kids from the roadside by the river.
· Chongqing Zoo — A 30-minute taxi ride. Make sure to arrive before 9 AM to see the pandas reporting for duty—absolutely adorable!
Highly recommend booking early! It gets extremely busy during National Day. Our kid cried and refused to leave after three nights—already asking to come back and try other themed rooms next time.
