Hidden gem: tiger temple in Chumpon

#cityplaybook #chumpon #thailand #thailandtrip

Wat Tham Sing in Chumpon was such a peaceful, low-key spot—my friend and I were literally the only people there the whole time. The temple itself is simple and unassuming, but it has this quiet charm that makes it special. The real highlight, though, is the cave behind the main building. We used our phone flashlights to explore, and it was totally fine since the cave isn’t very deep or sprawling.

Inside, the cave has these beautiful Buddha statues and shrines tucked into the rock walls, with a really serene, almost mystical atmosphere. The dim light from our phones made the shadows dance on the stalactites, adding to the vibe. It felt like a hidden sanctuary, untouched and quiet—just the sound of dripping water and our footsteps.

If you’re passing through Chumpon and want a break from the usual tourist spots, Wat Tham Sing is perfect. No crowds, no hassle—just a humble temple with a little cave adventure waiting behind it. A great place to slow down and soak in the calm.
