Where to stay at Bandung? Novotel Bandung-enjoy amazing mountain view from city center

Bandung, capital of Indonesia’s West Java province, is a large city set amid volcanoes and tea plantations. It's known for colonial and art deco architecture, a lively, university-town feel and – thanks to its 768m elevation – relatively cool tropical weather.

How to get there :
Fly to Jakarta, drive or charter private transport to bandung about 3 hours drive. Or take high speed train (Kereta Cepat) , the name of the Bandung-Jakarta High speed train is very lovely, called Whoosh. 40 mins travelling time, then take High speed Feeder train to bandung train station. Once at train station, just book Grab or GoJek to Novotel Bandung, it’s super convenient.

Location: Novotel being a popular global chain hotel with affordable price, it has always been my option. Choosing Novotel Bandung definitely is recommended for its location, 7 mins drive from Bandung train station, 7 mins drive from Braga street, which is the famous tourist spot, 7mins drive from Bandung Cathedral.


Service: Staff are so welcoming and friendly, my wish of having a room with good view was granted, staff always greet you with smile.

Breakfast: Morning buffet breakfast starts from 6am to 10am, which is so convenient for travellers who have early pick up for day trip to enjoy the breakfast before tour. The choice of food mainly Indonesian cuisine, some continental dishes and pastries, of course the special Indonesian herbal drink for health benefits.

Amenities: There is bathtub, fridge in the room. Gym, SPA and swimming pool at level 1. At hotel lobby, there is a cake/pastries corner for purchasing cakes, if you have sweet tooth. Opposite the hotel there is a cafe and Bakso soup stall, as well as pharmacy and convenience store.

Overall comment: I highly recommend Novotel Bandung as a choice of hotel for Bandung trip, given the opportunity, I will definitely come back ##bandung again next time. #java #indonesia
