Grand Canyon National Park is one of the most iconic natural landmarks on Earth, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a must-visit destination in Arizona, USA. Carved by the Colorado River over millions of years, the canyon stretches 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and over a mile deep—a breathtaking display of nature’s power and beauty.

During my visit, I explored both the South Rim and North Rim, each offering unique perspectives of the canyon’s vastness. The South Rim is the most accessible and features famous viewpoints like Mather Point, Yavapai Observation Station, and Desert View Watchtower. The North Rim is quieter, with dramatic vistas and fewer crowds. For a more immersive adventure, I hiked part of the Bright Angel Trail, descending into the canyon’s depths where the views shift dramatically with every step.

✨ What I loved most: Watching the sunrise and sunset over the canyon walls—the shifting colors of red, orange, and gold felt truly magical.

Practical tips:

Best time to visit: March–May and September–November for mild weather and fewer crowds.

Bring plenty of water, sun protection, and sturdy shoes if hiking.

Shuttle buses are available along the South Rim for easy access to viewpoints.

Book accommodations early, especially if staying inside the park.

The Grand Canyon is more than just a viewpoint—it’s an experience of scale, beauty, and timeless natural wonder that leaves every visitor in awe.
