Vietnam's Da Nang | The 60-Meter-Tall Lady Buddha of Son Tra Peninsula: Guardian Between Sea and Sky

Da Nang, Vietnam | The 60-Meter-Tall Guanyin Statue on Son Tra Peninsula: Guardian Between Sea and Sky

Standing high on Son Tra Peninsula, one of Da Nang's most imposing landmarks, the over 60-meter-tall Guanyin Statue, stands quietly overlooking the sea and the city. This pristine, majestic white statue is not only one of the tallest Guanyin statues in Southeast Asia, but also a spiritual anchor for the residents of Da Nang.

Guanyin's face is serene, her eyes downcast, and she holds a magical instrument. Her compassionate presence seems to protect fishermen heading out to sea and travelers from afar. Standing at her feet and gazing up, one feels an invisible force that naturally brings peace of mind.

Surrounding the majestic halls of Linh Ung Pagoda and the lush mountain scenery, accompanied by the salty breeze from the East Sea, Buddhist chants and the roar of waves intertwine, as if heaven and earth have become one. Especially at sunset, the golden light cast upon the Guanyin statue, lending it an even more majestic and sacred presence.

This statue of Guanyin is not only a landmark of Da Nang, but also an eternal guardian, silently giving blessings and peace to everyone who stops by.
