The store is equipped with Bang & Olufsen high-end audio and automatic vinyl record players to create a concert hall texture, respecting Daegu's cultural capital positioning . ✨Experience:
"Starbucks Daegu Jongro Gotaek" located in the center of Daegu is a coffee ceremony that travels through time. The Korean house built in 1919 has been skillfully restored, retaining the traditional wooden structure, tile roof and floor-heated seats, which perfectly blends with modern coffee culture.
Daegu is known as the "Music Capital" by local culture enthusiasts. This shop uses a Bang & Olufsen sound system to create a concert hall-like atmosphere: soft classical music reverberates between wooden beams, and with a vinyl record player and high-spec speakers, people can't help but slow down and immerse themselves in the space. This "listening to music with coffee" experience is rarely matched by coffee shops on the market.
As soon as you open the wooden door, you can feel the warmth of the Korean house. The house is cool in spring and summer, and the floor heating cushions bring natural warmth in autumn and winter. The 120 seats are distributed in two wooden houses and the courtyard. There are both bar-style high chairs and low-seat floor designs, which are especially suitable for friends and family to spend time together.
I like to sit on the wooden floor seat by the window, leaning against the pillar, and have a cup of "Green Wormwood Latte" or "Seasonal Limited Tea Drink", and look through the glass window at the old street and the garden with swaying tree shadows. The wind blows gently, and the wooden floor makes a slight sound, as if time is flowing under my feet.
The most surprising thing is the music experience space in the corner. There are vinyl record players, Linlang records and high-end speakers here. Many music fans come here to experience the "most original sound of the moment". I also tried to order a vinyl record, and with the strong aroma of coffee, it was like being in a concert hall where classical and contemporary music meet.
Travelers often come here to check in on Instagram, take photos with Korean drama fans, and chat with local literati. There is a sense of cultural aggregation here. Even though the flow of customers is stable, the space is spacious and the traffic flow is smooth, most people quietly drink coffee, read books, and make friends. This is a "socializing without being disturbed" mode, which has both urban energy and mental healing.
It is recommended to choose non-peak hours for visits: 9-11 am or 3-5 pm, when the light is soft, the photo quality is best, and you can also experience it quietly. Weekend evenings are more romantic, and the BB table lamp and dim light create an atmosphere.
If I have to pick a few shortcomings, maybe the price is slightly higher than the general store, but compared with the space texture and historical value, it is still worth it; it is also recommended to check in advance whether there are music activities or vinyl experience sessions, which may require reservations.
In general, Daegu Hanok Starbucks is not just about drinking coffee, but a cultural experience: century-old architecture, music immersion, and the intersection of ancient and modern times, which not only satisfies the taste buds, but also allows people to find balance and resonance in their hearts. If you are a coffee lover, history lover, or music lover, it is worth arranging a small period of time here, slow down the pace, put down the busyness, and have a cup of good coffee, and hear your heartbeat and the singing of time.
