Dal Lake is absolutely beautiful and a must-visit in Srinagar. A Shikara ride is a must-do experience, where you can see the floating market, lakeside cafes, Mughal gardens, and the famous Char Chinar island. Staying in houseboats here makes the trip even more special. Tip: practice your bargaining skills, as Shikara owners often quote high prices. You can also easily reach Dal Lake from Srinagar Railway Station by shared jeeps for around ₹70. I’d recommend avoiding motor-operated Shikaras as they take away the true charm and calmness of the lake.
