Luzhou Yilian Prison... This place was first built by the Russian Empire in 1902, and after Japan won the Russo-Japanese War, it was expanded once more by Japan, and it is said that about 20,000 prisoners were imprisoned.
It is said that there were prisoners from about 11 countries including Korea, China, and Russia, and many Korean independence activists were imprisoned and suffered severely. It is a very meaningful place for Koreans, as Ahn Jung-geun was imprisoned and executed.
Since the museum is self-guided upon entry, you can enjoy a pleasant tour with a small number of people, so I highly recommend visiting.
