Traveling with kids during the National Day holiday can be a headache due to the crowds👨👩👧👦! But then I discovered Chongzuo, known as the "Little Guilin of Guangxi"—its mountains are greener than paintings, its waters flow like jade, and the best part is that during the holiday, it’s less crowded and stunningly beautiful, almost like having a private paradise!😍

🏡 Staying at the "Mushroom House" was a dream come true for the kids: open the balcony door and there’s a pool right outside. In the afternoon, we soaked in the water while enjoying mountain views, and at night, we lay in hammocks counting stars✨. Breakfast was delivered to our room, and a tortoise slowly crawled across the lawn looking for apples. The kids chased it around with fruit while I finally got to enjoy a hot cup of coffee!

✨ Must-try activities with kids:
✔️ Gulongshan Grand Canyon—You absolutely have to try rafting with the kids! Free-floating rafting is so much fun—you paddle your own boat🚣 and can stop whenever you want. As we passed through caves, we slowed down to enjoy the cool breeze, and the kids were mesmerized by the stalactites, staring at them for ages.
✔️ Detian Waterfall—Take a bamboo raft with the kids to the base of the waterfall, where you’ll be surrounded by mist and even catch glimpses of rainbows🌈. The 6th viewing platform is a hidden gem for photography, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the waterfall spanning both China and Vietnam!
✔️ Sanniang Bay in Qinzhou—Chasing dolphins🐬 out at sea was pure joy! There’s a 90% chance of spotting them throughout the year. When pink dolphins suddenly leapt out of the water, all the kids on the boat screamed with excitement😝, and we couldn’t stop taking photos until our phone storage was full!
✔️ Dindar Rainforest Trek—Guides helped us spot lizards and identify plants, and the kids collected a bag of "treasure stones" to keep as souvenirs.
✔️ Blackwater River Bamboo Raft Sunset—The sunset turned the water into a sea of orange, and the kids suddenly said, "Mom, are we living inside a painting?"
✔️ White-headed Langur Reserve—These round, fluffy monkeys leapt between treetops, and the rangers told us they’re even rarer than pandas!
