Late April, after Songkran, in the old town of Shangri-La, there may not be snowflakes to admire, but the cold weather still persists. In the morning, the temperature is around 1-2 degrees Celsius, and during the day, when the sun is shining brightly, it gets warmer.

During this month, we have the opportunity to see flowers in full bloom throughout the old town, such as plum blossoms and apricot blossoms, which we Thais collectively call sakura. Some flowers are deep pink, some are light pink, and some are white with a hint of pink.

We can see a lot of sakura blossoms around the Dafo Temple or the Big Bell Temple.
