📍Matsubara Spring

Matsubara Spring once had a spring of cool, abundant water, and a wide variety of plants and animals lived and thrived there.

However, around 1959, the spring was filled in due to river improvement work, and the natural beauty of the area is no longer what it was before.

As a result of the filling in, there was no place to alleviate the harsh conditions for plants and animals during floods and droughts, and the environment became poor.

Therefore, a nature restoration project was started in 2004 and completed in 2006.

Currently, many plants and animals have been confirmed, and the number of species is increasing every year.
