Summarizing our five-day stay at Elliadhoo by Cinnamon is challenging, as it was the ideal start to our honeymoon, and we're truly thankful to the island's team for making it such a delightful and memorable experience. We were lucky enough to enjoy wonderful weather for most of our stay. The highlight of many days was the chance to snorkel along the vibrant house reef circling the island. We snorkeled alongside various tropical fish and turtles residing there, and safely watched reef sharks and eagle rays swim by. We were fortunate to lodge in an overwater bungalow, which was stunning and felt luxurious. We relished the sunset views from our private deck and occasionally glimpsed aquatic neighbors swimming below. The amenities were comfy, and services like laundry and cleaning were hassle-free, with the housekeeping staff always warm and professional. Elliadhoo offers various food choices, with two main restaurants and a separate bar that keep generous hours to fit different routines or any activities or excursions you might choose. Each night at the main buffet restaurant (Madi Restaurant), the culinary team served up an amazing feast with a different international focus each evening for those craving variety. Indian, Sri Lankan, and Maldivian dishes were among the cuisines we tasted. Food was crucial for me due to dietary needs (Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free), and any issues could have severely impacted my experience. Both the culinary and hospitality staff ensured I could safely enjoy their meals. Special thanks to Soe and Susil at Madi Restaurant for their hospitality and leadership. If you're served by Unais or Ahmed at the Madi Restaurant, rest assured you're in capable hands. Another big thanks goes to Chef Kumara and Chef Dinesh. Chef Kumara was generous with his time, checking on our meals and even organizing a sorbet dessert for me since most desserts had dairy or gluten. This positively affected my experience as I loved desserts before my dietary restrictions began. Chef Dinesh consistently made gf/df pancakes each morning that were the best I've ever tasted. His culinary expertise was evident, and he promptly checked and followed up if unsure about the menu. This care from the culinary and hospitality teams made Elliadhoo truly exceptional. Other enjoyable activities included spa visits. I was eager for this, and the Spa Chavana team didn't disappoint. The spa was tranquil, and the therapists were from Bali. The service range catered to every spa need. I indulged in a Signature Massage twice and added a facial the second time (highly recommended). Atik handled both my services, while my husband had Santi and Sella for his massages. The first massage was perfect for easing stress and promoting relaxation; knots were addressed, and the therapists were professional and communicative. My second massage and facial were equally appreciated as I had a sunburn and worried about massage comfort. Atik was fantastic, assuring me she could accommodate it, and provided relaxation that's second to none. Both times, she kindly braided a headband into my hair. Santi was lovely and offered helpful suggestions for things to see in Bali, which we're now enjoying. Our experience at Elliadhoo was fantastic due to the team, who made us feel cared for, not just another guest or number—a common failure at many places. Would we return? Without a doubt! I'm trying to convince my husband to make this an annual event.
