Hiroshima, Edajimacho Hotel & Spa, was the highlight of this trip, and it was a healing experience to find a room where you can face the sea and stare at the sea in a daze every morning! Add an indoor hot tub and an open-air hot tub, and that comfort almost makes you not want to check out.
Edajima-jo Hotel & Spa Hiroshima
Geography and Transportation:
The hotel is nestled by the beach at 4718 Nakamachi, Nomi-cho. In terms of transportation, it offers a shuttle service, which is very convenient from Hiroshima Pier. Although there are not many attractions in the surrounding area, the hotel is actually the whole center of travel - with sea views, hot springs, and comfortable public spaces, basically staying in the hotel for a day will not be boring at all.
Service highlights:
The staff were courteous and enthusiastic and had no problem with English – communication was completely barrier-free. In addition to daily services, there is free parking, tea, coffee, drinks, desserts and supper. At night you can try the specialty navy curry, you really do not need to worry about hunger when you enter the hotel, there is always food to replenish at any time. Whether check-in, dining or going to the lounge, the staff is very attentive to give you a sense of peace of mind like coming home!
Real impressions and tips:
The whole stay was so comfortable that I couldn't wait to leave, the hot spring wasn't overcrowded, and there was different beauty in the morning and at night. It is recommended that you book a room type “with sea view” and stay at the hotel for the full day. I myself especially like to get a cup of coffee and sit in my room looking at the sea after a hot spring bath in the morning, it’s super healing! Be sure to try the specialties it serves in the evening, unique to Edajima.
