I went to Enoshima Lantern 2025

At Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden, located at the top of Enoshima, you can enjoy a variety of plants that change with the seasons, take in the spectacular views from the Enoshima Sea Candle observation lighthouse, and there's even a cafe on site.

Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden is currently hosting the Enoshima Lantern 2025 event until the end of August.

Admission is usually free, but during the Enoshima Lantern event, a 500 yen admission fee applies from 5:00 PM.

The illuminations begin at 6:00 PM, before the sun sets, but they were beautiful even when it was still light out.

The atmosphere changes completely as darkness falls.
The vibrant illuminations are even more beautiful.

There's also a spot where you can play shadow puppetry, and it was nice to see so many visitors taking photos together in a friendly atmosphere.

Limited-time goshuin stamps were also available at the souvenir shop inside the garden.
