Nagarekawa Cherry Blossoms 🌸 Fukuoka

This time, we're taking our friends to see the cherry blossoms at Nagarekawa Cherry Blossoms in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture! There are cherry trees lining the banks of the Kose River for over 2 kilometers, with as many as 350 trees. From late March to early April, both sides of the road become a light pink flower tunnel. Walking under the cherry blossoms in full bloom and feeling the cool breeze creates a very romantic atmosphere. On the walkway along the river, there are also yellow Nanoha flowers contrasting with the cherry blossoms, looking very bright and harmonious.

We like this place because it's quiet, not crowded, and suitable for laying down a mat for a picnic or taking beautiful photos. If you go in the evening, you'll be able to see the cherry blossoms reflecting the evening sunlight, or at night, there are decorative lights to add warmth.

You can get here by train. We recommend JR Ukiha, which is only 20 minutes from the city, or a 6-minute walk from the Nagarekawa Nishitetsu bus stop. I can tell you that the experience of seeing the cherry blossoms in Nagarekawa will be so impressive that you'll want to come back again.
