#mediterranean 🍇🍷 Embrace la dolce vita in the heart of Tuscany with a scenic day weaving through Gaiole in Chianti, where rolling vineyards, medieval castles, and tranquil pools await!
Start off at Chiesa di San Marcellino in Colle, a timeless countryside chapel for peaceful contemplation and a dreamy photo with classic Tuscan hills in the background – best lit early in the morning for soft golden hues. Next, head to I Sodi (Mon-Fri, 10:12–15:18), a charming winery: a must for tasting robust Chianti alongside local cheeses. Snap a photo by the wine barrels or the panoramic terrace for that “under the Tuscan sun” vibe.
Continue to my favorite, Castello di Cacchiano, where an exclusive wine tasting awaits. Tip: Let the hosts guide you through their historic cellars – their passion truly brings the story of Chianti to life! Don’t rush, savor each sip, and grab a bottle as a keepsake.
Medieval fans, don’t miss Castello di Tornano. Ascend the tower for unbeatable views — those ancient stones and olive groves are Insta-perfection, especially at sunset. For a refreshing break, unwind at Pozze di Lecchi, a serene natural pool ideal for a barefoot stroll or a cooling dip on warm afternoons.
Tips: Definitely reserve your wine tastings ahead, and consider hiring a driver if you plan to indulge. Roads can be narrow and twisty, so comfortable shoes and light layers are a must. Some spots close earlier in the off-season. Carry cash, as some smaller wineries and cafes may not accept cards.
