Geneva | The 140-Meter Skyward Water Jet---Jet d'Eau at Lake Geneva

The Jet d'Eau at Lake Geneva is a massive artificial fountain located on the shores of Lake Geneva. Using high-pressure pumps to draw water from the lake, it shoots water up to a height of approximately 140 meters, making it visible from many parts of Geneva.

Below the fountain lies a pathway, where the lake water sometimes falls directly onto it depending on the wind direction, creating a downpour-like effect. This makes it one of Geneva's most popular tourist attractions.

On either end of the fountain's pathway are two facilities: the Lighthouse of the Eaux-Vives, which extends into the lake, and the Jet d’eau Baths near the shore, an open-air seawater pool that is perfect for family fun.
