Worshiping the God of Medicine in Penang, Malaysia

Near Chew Jetty, there is another sacred shrine that is worshipped by the Chinese community in Southeast Asia, Fujian Province, and Taiwan. This deity is called Bao Sheng Dadi (保生大帝) in Mandarin or Po Sheng Tai Te in Hokkien. He is considered a god of medicine who is highly revered in Taoism. He is called Ngo Jin Yin, the divine physician. Praying to him is believed to help one escape from illnesses and diseases, so it is very popular. #Worshiping to resolve bad luck
