People often say that the body and soul must always be on the road. It is only when you embark on a journey to the northwest that you truly understand the meaning of this phrase. As you travel westward, you cross vast lands and encounter countless breathtaking landscapes.
On this trip to the northwest, I visited two salt lakes. At first, I was full of excitement, but later I found it a bit boring. However, when I decided to travel 500 km to Hoh Xil, I truly embarked on a soul-stirring adventure.
As soon as I stepped into Hoh Xil, I was greeted by the sight of snow-capped mountains. They towered into the clouds, shining with a holy light under the sun, as if they were a conversation between the earth and the sky. As I traveled along the road, I occasionally saw lively wild animals. The Tibetan antelopes were agile, and the wild yaks were majestic. They roamed freely on this vast land, inspiring awe in me.
The clear lakes were like the eyes of the earth, reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, and surrounding mountains, creating a dreamlike scene. The towering mountains showcased the majestic power of nature. The blue sky and white clouds were so low that they seemed within reach, and so pure that they were free of any impurities, like a huge blue silk adorned with white cotton candy.
Along the way, you can stop by the roadside at any time, without deliberately searching for angles or carefully composing shots, and take stunning photos. Compared to Xinjiang, the scenery of Hoh Xil has a more unrefined wildness and purity. Every corner exudes a unique charm that captivates you and makes you unable to extricate yourself.
If you also long for a unique journey, an adventure that can cleanse your soul, then you must not miss the northwest and Hoh Xil. Everything here will become the most brilliant treasure in your memory, allowing you to deeply understand that the meaning of life lies in the courage to explore and the unknown encounters.
