If you’re anywhere near Chengdu and want to dive deep into ancient mysteries, Guanghan’s Sanxingdui Museum is 100% a must-visit! 😍 The day trip from Chengdu (just a 1-hour drive!) brought me face-to-face with the legendary Sanxingdui masks and relics — seeing them up close surrounded by other curious travelers truly felt surreal.
Must-See: Sanxingdui Museum
Address: Zhenwu Village, Nanxing Town, Guanghan District, Deyang City
Ticket: ¥72 (remember — BOOK ONLINE at least 7 days ahead, they check carefully!)
Opening hours change through the year, so double-check before you go. Most of the year it’s open 08:30-18:00, but summer months and holidays are longer.
🔥 Pro Tip: Plan your visit ahead because tickets sell out fast, especially for weekends and holidays. Don’t forget your booking confirmation and passport for entry.
Highlights:
- The Gold Mask exhibition hall: Iconic face masks that look straight out of legends (your IG feed will thank you!)
- Epic bronze statues, jade artifacts, and plenty of interactive screens
- Flower gardens outside offer a chill spot to rest after the exhibit
Getting There: Best to grab a taxi (about ¥100) or use local trip.com transfers from Chengdu. No direct train, so rideshare or private car saves time.
Food: There’s a simple museum café for snacks and coffee, but grab a real meal back in Guanghan city — look for ‘Sanxingdui local noodles’ spots.
Tips: The halls can get busy mid-day, so arrive early! Also, photography is totally allowed in most exhibition halls — go close for those dramatic mask shots.
