At the moment in front of the Sanxingdui sacrificial artifacts, my worldview was shattered and rebuilt‼️
🌳【Bronze Sacred Tree】
This 3.96-meter-tall bronze sacred tree,
has three layers and nine branches,
with a sun god bird perched on each branch tip.
This is not just a cultural relic,
it’s basically the ancient Shu people's "cosmic express"📦
directly embodying the channel connecting heaven and earth!
🗿【Bronze Standing Giant Statue】
This 1.8-meter-tall bronze giant,
with its hands crossed in front, remains a mystery🤔
Some say it’s praying,
some say it’s holding a ritual object,
but that solemn and majestic feeling,
still strikes the heart across three thousand years💥
👁️【Zongmu Mask】
The most amazing is this bronze eyeball protruding 16cm!
The ancient Shu people's "Zongmu" worship is so mesmerizing,
it’s almost like an alien civilization👽
But archaeologists say it might be a deification of King Cancong of Shu,
who taught the ancestors sericulture,
so the eyes are especially prominent...🐛
🐉【Dragon and Snake Worship】
Various dragon- and snake-shaped bronzes,
with details exquisitely crafted to an unbelievable degree!
The ancient Shu people infused their reverence for nature
into these mysterious patterns🌟
📍Address: No. 133 Xi’an Road, Guanghan City, Sichuan Province
⏰Opening Hours: 8:30-18:00 (Last entry at 17:00)
The biggest feeling from visiting Sanxingdui is:
What we think is mysterious,
was actually the daily life of the ancients;
What we think is absurd,
is actually another kind of reality✨
The ancient Shu civilization from three thousand years ago,
cast a parallel universe in bronze,
waiting to be reinterpreted...
