Dafo Temple in Guangzhou is an ancient and beautiful Buddhist temple harmoniously nestled in the bustling Beijing Road area. Built during the Southern Han Dynasty (917–971) by Emperor Liu Yan, it was originally called 'Xinzang Temple.' The temple features remarkable architecture and highlights such as the Mahavira Hall, showcasing a blend of Chinese imperial style and Lingnan characteristics. It also includes a bell and drum tower, scripture storage room, hall of the Six Patriarchs, and a hall with 500 Arhat statues. If you find yourself walking along Beijing Road, this temple is a must-visit, especially at night when it looks stunning.
