🌆 Guangzhou 3D/2N Trip Review

🌆 Guangzhou 3D/2N Trip Review | A Perfect Blend of Food, Culture, and Nightscapes 🇨🇳

If you're looking for a city steeped in history and vibrant modernity, Guangzhou is it. My three-day, two-night trip made me fall in love with this "foodie Guangzhou." Not only does it offer delicious dim sum and a vibrant nightscape, but it's also steeped in Lingnan culture.

🏙️ DAY 1: Arrive in Guangzhou · Climb a Tower for Night View

On my first day in Guangzhou, I stayed near Zhujiang New Town for convenient transportation and breathtaking night views. In the afternoon, I visited the Canton Tower (also known as the "Little Waist"). From the tower, I overlooked the entire Pearl River, its twinkling lights creating a truly romantic nightscape. ✨ Below the tower is Flower City Square, perfect for strolling, taking photos, and enjoying the fountains—perfect for couples or friends.
Dinner, of course, was authentic Cantonese cuisine! I went to Bingsheng Pinwei, and the white-cut chicken, honey-glazed barbecued pork, and roast goose were all incredibly delicious. Each dish retained the natural sweetness of the ingredients. Although the first day's itinerary was simple, I fully experienced the rhythm of Guangzhou's city—neither hurried nor slow, just the right pace.

🏛️ DAY 2: A perfect blend of culture and cuisine

The second day was dedicated to exploring the city. In the morning, I visited Shamian Island, where the European-style architecture and lush greenery created a postcard-worthy scene. 📸 Afterward, I walked to Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, a representative area of Guangzhou's old city, home to a wealth of time-honored snacks. I recommend Yinji Rice Noodle Rolls, Taotaoju, and Nanxin Desserts. I couldn't stop eating from breakfast until the afternoon.
In the afternoon, I visited Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, a unique blend of historical sites and modern shopping districts. The remains of an ancient Song Dynasty road can be seen underground, which is quite unique. In the evening, we returned to the Pearl River for a night cruise, enjoying the lights on both sides and the river breeze. The romance of the entire city melted into the night. ✨

☕ DAY 3: Slow Life · Morning Tea and Shopping

The last day was a bit more relaxed. In the morning, we enjoyed an authentic Cantonese dim sum at Diandude. Each dish, including shrimp dumplings, lava buns, chicken feet, and rice noodle rolls, was exquisitely presented. Paired with a pot of Pu'er tea, we experienced the authentic rhythm of Cantonese life.

After morning tea, we headed to Yuexiu Park and climbed the Zhenhai Tower for a bird's-eye view of old Guangzhou. The park, lush with greenery, was a perfect place to relax. At noon, we briefly strolled around Taikoo Hui and bought some souvenirs, such as wife cakes, Chinese sausage, and ginger milk tea. In the afternoon, we packed our bags for our return trip. Three days flew by, but we left behind a wealth of memories.

💡 Tips:
• 🚇 The Guangzhou Metro is very convenient, offering direct access to most tourist attractions.
• 🍲 Must-try dishes: Rice noodle rolls, roast goose, shrimp dumplings, boat congee, and double-skin milk.
• 📸 Photo spots: Canton Tower, Shamian Island, Flower City Square, and the Pearl River at night.
• 🕐 Best time to visit: October to March, when the weather is cool and not too sweltering.

My three-day, two-night trip to Guangzhou allowed me to experience the city's diverse charm. The daytime was bustling with life, while the nights were filled with the gentle lights of the Pearl River; it embodied both traditional and modern charms. Guangzhou isn't a city to be "hurriedly passed through," but a place to savor slowly. ❤️
