Even if you're only staying in Guiyang for a day, visiting the iconic landmark "Jiaxiu Pavilion" on the Nanming River is a must!
This symbolic building of Guiyang was first constructed during the Ming Dynasty. It is a three-story wooden pavilion built atop a massive rock in the river. From the top of Jiaxiu Pavilion, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the scenic Nanming River.
The architecture of Jiaxiu Pavilion features three stories, three eaves, and a four-cornered pointed roof. Beside it lies the Floating Jade Bridge, which meanders gracefully like a jade belt floating on water, spanning across the Nanming River.
Crossing the Floating Jade Bridge leads to Cuiwei Garden, a combination of temple architecture and garden courtyard. Attractions such as Gongnan Pavilion and Nengmen Academy can be explored here.
At night, when the lights come on, Jiaxiu Pavilion becomes even more dazzling with its colorful illumination. The surrounding area is bustling with shops, restaurants, and even a night market, making it livelier as the night goes on.
