Daereungwon Tomb Complex (Gyeongju)

Walking through Daereungwon felt surreal, surrounded by large grassy mounds that were actually ancient royal tombs of the Silla kings and nobles. They looked like peaceful hills, yet each held incredible treasures of history. Inside one tomb, Cheonmachong, I saw golden crowns and artifacts that revealed the wealth and artistry of the era. The park-like setting was beautiful too, with trees lining the pathways and benches for quiet reflection. The mix of natural beauty and historic mystery made Daereungwon a place of wonder. It was like walking through Korea’s ancient heartbeat. #mytraveldiary
