Yet the weather took an unexpected turn—a sudden wind whipped across the lake, stirring waves and causing the temperature to plummet. The sand dunes in the distance were veiled in a haze of gray, transforming the scenery from tranquil to vast and desolate in an instant. The white yaks by the shore remained as serene as ever, patiently awaiting tourists and adding a touch of the plateau’s unique vitality to the ever-changing landscape.
