[Korekawa Jomon Museum | Hachinohe, Aomori]
A Jomon museum in Hachinohe where you can see the national treasure "Gassho Clay Figure". Valuable items excavated from the Korekawa ruins and Kazehari 1 ruins are on display, allowing you to experience the lifestyle and aesthetic sense of the Jomon people. There are also plenty of hands-on programs such as making fire and making magatama, which both parents and children can enjoy. There are also videos and dioramas, making it an intellectual yet exciting space.
It is about 15 minutes by bus (weekends and holidays only) or taxi from Hachinohe Station, or about 10 minutes by car from Hachinohe IC. If you want to experience the depth of Jomon culture and the "beauty in simplicity", be sure to visit.
