Lan Ha Bay is Halong’s quieter cousin—and I actually found it more peaceful and beautiful. The limestone karsts rise from emerald water, and during summer the calm seas are perfect for kayaking. I spent an entire day exploring grottoes, swimming in remote lagoons, and picnicking on a hidden beach. The scenery is unreal, and the lack of crowds makes it feel personal. It’s a must-do for anyone visiting the north in summer.
