China's First UNESCO-Listed Urban Wetland

#discoverchina

Xixi National Wetland Park is just 5km from West Lake, this 11.5 sq km maze of lagoons, reed marshes and ancient water villages offers a serene counterpoint to Hangzhou's bustle. Dubbed the "Kidney of the City" for its ecological role, it preserves Jiangnan's disappearing "water-lantern and fishing-weir" culture.

Gates:
- Zhoujia Village Entrance (main access, near metro)
- Hezhu Street Entrance (closest to boat rentals)
🚇 Metro:
- Line 3 to Xixi Wetland South Station → 5-min walk to Zhoujia entrance
- Line 19 to Jiangcun Station → 8-min walk to Hezhu entrance
🎫 Ticket: ¥80 (includes 1 boat ride); after 16:30 ¥40
