Hangzhou Xixi National Wetland Park is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction located in the west of Hangzhou, 6 kilometers away from Wulin Gate, the main urban area of Hangzhou, and 5 kilometers away from the West Lake. It is a national wetland park integrating urban wetlands, agricultural wetlands and cultural wetlands. The park opened on May 1, 2005, and was included in the list of internationally important wetlands on July 7, 2009 with its unique fish scale pond topography.
At present, the total area of Xixi Wetland, which is planned and protected, is about 10.38 square kilometers. There are three embankments of "Fudi, Green Embankment and Shoudi", as well as scenic spots such as Gaozhuang, Shentankou, Qiuxue Temple, Yanshui Yuzhuang, Hong's Ancestral Hall, and Lianhuatan Bird Watching Area. Since the implementation of the Xixi Wetland Comprehensive Protection Project in 2003, the ecological environment of Xixi Wetland has been improving day by day, and it has gradually become a green space shared by the people.
