The relaxed feeling of summer in Hangzhou comes from the high mountain villages of Lin'an

I am someone who travels and photographs the mountains, waters, and villages of Zhejiang.
Summer in Lin'an is really perfect for just lying back and relaxing～

Find a scenic, cool, high-altitude mountain village,
then find a homestay that combines dining, entertainment, and leisure.
Ideally, there should be clear streams right in front of the homestay to play in,
starting the perfect summer vacation mode～

Recommended two-day laid-back itinerary:
(Especially suitable for family trips with kids)

Day 1: Zhinnan Village ➡️ Taizimiao Village for water fun
(We stayed at the Shar Family-friendly Homestay)
Day 2: Homestay ➡️ Taihu Source or continue relaxing by the water

If coming from the Tonglu direction, you can reverse the order.

📍 Zhinnan Village

✅ A high mountain terraced field village at about 550 meters elevation,
famous for its red leaves in East China.
No entrance fee, parking 20 RMB/day.
✅ Fewer tourists in summer, many come to escape the heat;
you can drive directly to the highest part of the village where there is a parking lot;
in the busy autumn tourist season on weekends, cars must park at the village entrance,
then either hike up or take a shuttle bus into the village.
Almost every household in the village is a homestay.
✅ In summer, the terraced fields are lush green, a different kind of beauty from autumn;
the most beautiful terraces are at the first viewing platform at the village entrance;
there are small paths to walk into the terraces.
✅ Best times to photograph the terraces:
Morning 7:00-8:00
Evening 17:00-18:30
(Estimated based on terrain 😂)

📍 Taizimiao Village

✅ Located between Zhinnan Village and Taihu Source, about 10 minutes by car from both, with Provincial Road 218 passing through the mountain village; there is a clear stream in front of the village with many stream trout.
✅ We stayed at the Shar Homestay here because of convenient transportation and easy access to food and water activities, as there is a stream right in front of the homestay;
after arriving, we realized it was a bit of a loss not to bring kids 😂. The standard room has two beds each 1.5 meters wide, plus a swimming pool, billiards table, reading area, open-air cinema... you can even barbecue in the yard, a perfect laid-back vacation setup 😂.

📍 Taihu Source

✅ One of the sources of Taihu Lake, known as the "Little Jiuzhaigou of Jiangnan,"
tickets are required for entry, but we didn’t have time to go in;
