Located in Hanoi, Hoa Lo Prison was originally built during the French colonial era to detain independence activists. Today, it operates as a museum.
The exhibits, including narrow and dark cells, torture devices, and an actual escape route, vividly portray the harrowing history of the time. During the Vietnam War, it was also used as a detention center for American prisoners of war, making it a place that reflects the pain of history and the human stories within.
