We chose Cloud Nine Restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had during our time in Hanoi.

After reading multiple online recommendations for romantic restaurants in Hanoi, Cloud Nine kept appearing—and now we know why. Tucked away on Level 9 of La Siesta Premium Hotel in the Old Quarter, the restaurant offers a perfect blend of elegance, warmth, and exceptional hospitality.

From the moment we entered, we were warmly welcomed by the manager, who thoughtfully remembered my advance request for a quiet corner with views. He even let us choose between two scenic tables, both offering breathtaking sunset views over Hanoi—a lovely start to our evening.

The ambiance was something special: classic French colonial charm, soft lighting, and an atmosphere that felt both upscale and intimate. It’s a space that transports you.

We ordered a mix of local Vietnamese and Western dishes, and every single plate impressed us with its flavor and presentation. Special thanks to our server Mr. Huong (hope I got that right), who was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly gracious. He not only introduced each dish in detail but also demonstrated how to properly enjoy the local specialties. It’s this level of thoughtfulness and care that truly elevated the entire experience.

A huge thank you to the manager, too, who helped us take some beautiful photos to remember the evening. Every part of the service—from booking to goodbye—was top notch.
