#chinatravel A historical place worth visiting is the Zhaolin Park (兆麟公园) and War Memorial which is very near Central Street (Zhongyang Pedestrian Walking Street 中央大街).
Opening Hours: 0500 ~ 2100 hrs (Timing may differs during winter when there's snow and ice festivities)

Zhaolin Park, originally built in 1906, is approximately 450 meters walking distance from Harbin Central Street (Zhongyang Pedestrian Walking Street). It is also the oldest city park in Harbin.
Thereafter in 1946, It was renamed after a national hero : General Li Zhaolin, who sacrificed himself and made a great contribution during World War Two.
Things to do :
1. Relax and stroll in the park
- You can join in the locals for a stroll, jog or even participate in the square dance / exercise 广场舞
2. Visit the War Memorial
- Popular spot in the park amongst locals, patriotic Chinese and travellers who come to honour their respect to the war time hero
- Very crowded during Qing Ming Festival where you see offerings of flowers and wreaths and especially many older generation who witnessed the war.
3. Zhaolin Park Ice Lantern Show
- one of the 3 main venues of Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival
- Opening hours change to 0800 - 2130 hours
