A place to convey the memory of war
Located in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in the center of Hiroshima, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is a place that quietly speaks of the tragedy of the atomic bomb and the preciousness of peace. Inside the museum, the belongings of the victims, photographs, and video materials are on display, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the situation at the time and the suffering of the people.
Exhibitions that reveal the reality of the bombing
The museum displays the city of Hiroshima on the day the atomic bomb was dropped, testimonies of the victims, charred clothing and watches, and everyday items found in the rubble. These exhibits leave a strong impact on the viewer, making them feel indescribable sadness and fear.
Messages for peace
What is strongly conveyed through the exhibits is the horror of war and the desire for peace that "it must never be repeated." Visitors quietly gaze at the exhibits, place their hands on their hearts, and think about what they can learn from the past and how they can apply it to the future.
Thoughts from the visit
When I actually visited, I was able to feel the weight of "real memories" that cannot be conveyed through textbooks or videos alone. I once again realized the importance of standing here and praying for peace as a member of the world.
