Just got back from an eye-opening trip to Hiroshima—a city that moved me with its deep history and quiet resilience. Visited the Peace Memorial Park and Museum, where the stories and ruins were a powerful reminder of the past. Took a day trip to Miyajima Island to see the iconic floating torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine, and tried Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki at a local shop—it’s layered, hearty, and unforgettable. Also explored the charming Shukkeien Garden and enjoyed peaceful walks along the riverside. Hiroshima wasn’t just about reflection—it also surprised me with its food, calm vibe, and kind locals. A city that truly leaves a lasting impression on both heart and mind.
