I haven't been to Kennedy Town for a long time. I happened to have dinner at a nearby restaurant that day, so I came to take a look🚶🏻. Kennedy Town, located at the westernmost part of Hong Kong Island, is named after the seventh Governor of Hong Kong, Arthur Edward Kennedy. It is one of the earliest areas developed by British colonial rulers. Walking out of the subway station, it is the busiest area in the city center of Kennedy Town🔥. You can see many tenement buildings, many of which are witnesses of more than half a century of history. But you will also see some new luxury houses mixed in these old tenement buildings. It is also called a development community where the old and the new are mixed👬. You can see many old shops, old ice houses, traditional cake shops, noodle shops, etc. along the way🥐👴🏻. Compared with other areas on Hong Kong Island, the development speed here is relatively slow. So until today, the density of buildings in this area is still low. The atmosphere is leisurely and it is a comfortable residential area☺️. There are also many open spaces here. Such as Belcher Bay Park and Kennedy Town New Waterfront Street
People can stroll in the forest or on the seaside, which is very pleasant😌🚶🏻
If you want to experience the local life that blends the old and the new
and want to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the seaside woods
You must go to Kennedy Town for a pilgrimage, I believe you will be pleasantly surprised😍👍🏻
🚗Take the MTR Hong Kong Island Line to the Kennedy Town Station Exit
